Kay Frances (Bailey) Jones

Kay Frances Bailey Jones, 87, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 16, 2026 while at VIA Health Partners - Wendover Hospice. She was born to the late Jamie Bailey, Sr. and Louise Jones Bailey in Cherokee County, South Carolina. She is also predeceased by her husband, Daniel L. Jones, Sr.; son-in-law, Marty Burton; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Daniel L. Jones, Jr. (Nancy) and Steven C. Jones (Christy); daughters, Deborah Burton, Susan Gravely (James), Penny Pruett, Mary Kane (Larry) and Sandra Jones; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren.

During her lifetime, she worked at Kemet Electronics. When she was younger, she loved gardening, canning and freezing the food she grew for the year. She liked to grow flowers, and loved keeping grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will truly be missed.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Cleveland Memorial Park, 1225 College Avenue, Shelby, NC 28152.
